Curriculum for Ballet:
JSA uses a Curriculum from Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), London. We have a yearly examination to determine the eligibility to move up to the next level based on RAD and are hoping our ballerinas would be able to achieve the international standard. This has been structured in a way to assist the children who wish to continue their studies overseas, so they could be able to use RAD standard to measure their abilities with others.
Besides RAD, JSA has also applied a new ballet technique, named Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). It is an innovative program for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet.
Curriculum for Jazz, Hip Hop and K-Pop:
Our classes have experienced teachers in these industries. Hip Hop and K-Pop are designed for teenagers or adults who are eager to dance along with the new era of music. For Hip Hop, JSA has its own curriculum to help the students to master the basic Hip Hop technique and help them to find their own style in dance.
JSA also offers other dance classes such as Zumba and Yoga. Zumba Dance is an aerobic program inspired by various style of Latin American dance and music. It fits for members who want to burn calories and keep in shape. Yoga helps to relax and manage stress, while increasing the ability to focus and concentrate. Yoga can also help to reduce muscle tension and mind tension. Both of the classes are highly recommended for adults to improve their healthy life.
